About Me

Hi, I’m Christy—a graphic designer who loves people just as much as design. I’m upbeat, laid-back, and easy to work with, and nothing makes me happier than seeing someone light up because of something I created for them. That “YES! – that’s exactly what I was hoping for” moment… that’s what I live for.

Originally from Huntington Beach and now based in Seal Beach, California, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Portland State University. My background blends West Coast creativity with Pacific Northwest thoughtfulness—equal parts laid-back and deliberate, with a strong focus on storytelling, community, and connection.

Design-wise, I’m all about blending playfulness with polish. My work brings together bright ideas, clean layouts, and sometimes a sense of humor—whether I’m creating logos, posters, brochures, or full-on branding packages. I care just as much about how something works as how it looks. It’s got to be clever, clear, and genuinely enjoyable to experience.

My Experience

I’ve had the privilege of working with cities, community organizations, arts centers, lawyers, doctors, dance companies—you name it. A few highlights include:

  • Winner of the City of Huntington Beach’s 2023 4th of July logo contest

  • Designer of the City of Seal Beach’s Centennial logo

  • Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce Classic Car Show and Visitor’s Guide Designs

  • Designer of materials for the Seal Beach Community Performing Arts Association, Bay Theater, and other city initiatives

  • Graphic Designer at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, creating print and digital work for performances and donor events

  • Production Manager/Designer for two local newspapers, the Seal Beach Sun and The Catalina Islander, where I launched new publications and led their annual magazine

  • Owner of an Etsy shop that sells DIY Cruising Duck Tags (because it’s quirky, and I love to design ridiculous things too.)

A little more…

Outside of design, I enjoy hanging out with my family, cooking, watching shows, working on my old 1967 VW Bug, traveling, and doing any kind of puzzles—especially crosswords, and VR games like “The Room.”
